And Finally... UFO sighting passed to Ministers
A UFO report was taken so seriously it was passed to Cabinet ministers.
Secret files released by defence chiefs yesterday reveal experts were baffled by the bizarre sighting.
They even had photos of the 75ft wide diamond-shaped object "buzzing" an RAF Harrier near the village of Pitlochry, Perthshire, on August 4, 1990.
Witnesses said it hovered for 10 minutes before zooming off at high speed. The mystery - which remains unsolved - is detailed in a newly declassified MoD memo at the National Archives in Kew, West London.
In it, a Whitehall official admits bringing the case to the attention of ministers was "unusual".
He also requests drawings of the object and says the "sensitivity of the material suggests very special handling".
Ex-MoD official Nick Pope said: "It was far beyond the most modern stealth aircraft being trialled at that time.
"My opposite number in defence intelligence pointed his finger to the left and said, 'It's not the Americans', then to the right, saying, 'It's not the Soviets'.
"Finally he said, 'That only leaves...' and pointed his finger directly upwards."
