And Finally... Latest research - ducks prefer to shower
The Government was criticised yesterday for spending £294,027 to discover that ducks prefer showers to still water.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs gave the cash to an Oxford University study designed to help farmers provide the perfect conditions to raise ducks.
Dan Rogerson, Lib Dem MP for North Cornwall, said: "I suppose this proves that rain is nice weather for ducks, but I am sure Defra could have found better uses for the money."
