Three nuns driving to see poorly Pope Benedict after he fell and broke his wrist were pulled over by police - for speeding at 120mph.
Sister Tavoletta, 56, drove the Ford Fiesta, with two others, 65 and 78, inside.
She told stunned cops near Quincinetto, Turin: "We heard the Pope fell and wanted to see he was OK."
She was fined £325 with a ban, but vowed to appeal.
