And Finally... Birdwatchers in a flap over couples having sex in hides
Talk about the birds and the bees... naturalists' hides are being taken over by couples doing what comes naturally.
And now a wildlife trust has warned twitchers to watch out for non-feathered love birds.
It follows a report from a shocked visitor who heard "strange noises" from inside a Lincolnshire hide. Rachel Shaw of the county's wildlife trust slammed "many cases of inappropriate behaviour."
Veteran bird watcher Chris Grimshaw, 62, from Lincoln, said: "Most twitchers are anoraks just interested in the birds, but some people are clearly going to hides for other reasons."
And Erica Howe, of the RSPB, added: "Hides are there to enjoy wildlife in and we hope people respect this. It could be unsafe to use them for any other sort of activity."
