A widow used bottles of her late husband's wine to get rid of garden slugs - then discovered she'd been pouring away £70 a time.
Lucy Middleton, 80, of Totnes, Devon, was using the sixth of 27 vintage bottles when son Paul, 48, called - and, horrified, pointed out her mistake. Now she uses salt on slugs.
