And Finally... Women's 800m gold medallist to face gender test
The women's 800m gold medallist at the World Athletics Championships is facing claims that she is really a man.
South African Caster Semenya, 18, obliterated the field in last night's final at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, where Britain's Jenny Meadows finished third.
But her muscular physique - as well as a series of quick times this year - sparked a whispering campaign about her gender.
South African athletics chiefs furiously denied the claims and her coach Michael Seme said: "Her room-mates in Berlin have seen her naked in the showers. She has nothing to hide."
But a source said: "She put in an astoundingly fast performance three weeks ago which prompted suspicions over gender. Experts were concerned over the way she runs and wanted her tested."
