A coffin, jukebox and sex toys are among a bizarre haul of goods recovered by police.
An assortment of 39 whips and chains were among the items found in the street, handed in to officers or taken away after raids.
Booty that ended up in Scotland Yard's lost property included dozens of adult DVDs, a safer sex demonstration box, knickers, sheets and a massage bed.
There were also diamond engagement rings, an MBE medal, a facial sauna, musical instruments, a fruit-machine, as well as 21 crates of expensive champagne. Many have been auctioned, raising nearly ã1 million in the past three years.
The cash has helped youth clubs, victim support services, crime prevention schemes and drop-in centres.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "We store vast amounts of lost and crime-related property which after a while, if unclaimed, are sent for auction."
