And Finally... People with chunky thighs live longer (apparently)

By James Shepherd on Sep 4, 09 04:26 PM in News

People with chunky thighs tend to live longer, scientists have claimed.

They have a lower risk of diabetes and are less likely to develop heart disease, the study of nearly 3,000 people found.

The ideal circumference is 23.6in, say the scientists.

Narrow thighs - leading to low muscle mass - could cause low insulin insensitivity, type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Danish researcher Prof Berit Heitmann said: "More than half of men and women are below the threshold."
