And Finally... Brits online for 30 hours every week
Thirty hours a week is the average time now spent online by people in the UK, a survey out today found.
The study says 93% shop and 82% manage their finances using the internet.
On a working day, the average person spends two hours online for work purposes and three for leisure. Only 33% do not use the internet at work.
At the weekend people spend three hours a day online and 25% use social networking sites daily.
Research was carried out for uSwitch.com, whose Jason Glynn, said: "This shows the huge impact the internet is having on life.
"Broadband is rapidly becoming a necessity - as important to our quality of life as gas or electricity."
