And Finally... Net pirates spend more (apparently)
People who illegally download music spend more on official releases than those who don't, according to a survey published yesterday.
Illegal downloaders spent an average of £77 a year, £33 more than their lawful peers.
The 42% of people who admitted breaking the law said they did so to "try before you buy", suggesting filesharing may encourage sales. Think tank Demos, which surveyed 1,008 people, said its findings showed cutting off file-sharers, a move proposed by the Government, may not help the music industry.
