And Finally... Stocks run out as a record 42million poppies sold
A record 42million poppies have been bought as the nation shows its respect for the soldiers killed in Afghanistan.
The Royal British Legion said stocks ran out on Thursday, forcing them to dip into next year's supply. The appeal is expected to top £50million.
Meanwhile, 125 soldiers from the Yorkshire Regiment were given a heroes' welcome yesterday as they returned to Warminster, Wiltshire, after serving in Afghanistan for three months.
An airstrike in Afghanistan hit a base housing Coalition troops, killing four Afghan soldiers and injuring 15 others.
