And Finally...Man killed trying not to wake girlfriend

By James Shepherd on Nov 27, 09 05:04 PM in News

A sports instructor fell to his death after trying to climb through a window of his flat so he wouldn't wake his girlfriend by ringing the doorbell.

William Styles, 23, had been at a pub quiz with partner Jessie Wallace, 21, but she went home early with their only set of keys.

When he returned he scaled the walls of their home in gale force winds.

William, who taught windsurfing, plunged 18ft from the ground floor to a basement level on Sunday night.

He sustained severe head injuries and lay unconscious in the street.

William, of Plymouth, was found by a neighbour at 9am on Monday and was treated in intensive care but he died the next morning.

Jessie said yesterday: "He was the perfect boyfriend.

"I feel like I've lost my entire world. He did more in his short life than people do in their long lives."

She added: "Maybe he didn't want to wake me up."
