And Finally...Rat makes appearance at KFC
Stunned Kentucky Fried Chicken diners told yesterday how they watched a huge rat run out of the kitchen and under their feet.
Staff chased the rodent with a broom while customers stopped eating their meals.
Mum Eleanor Franks, who was buying lunch when the rat circled her three-year-old son's pushchair, said: "It looked really mangy and had lost most of its hair."
Kat Marston, who took a picture of the rat at the KFC in Newquay, Cornwall, said: "They didn't close the place and carried on serving."
An officer from Cornwall Council's food and safety team later visited the premises.
A kfc spokesman said: "We've taken their advice about how best to deter rodents. But there is no evidence of any infestation."
