And Finally... Get ready for an ice cold week

By James Shepherd on Dec 13, 09 11:35 AM in News

Near-freezing conditions are poised to hit the whole of the UK, warn our weathermen.

They say we'll shiver in temperatures of 7C (44F) or even less for most of the coming week.

Yesterday Braemar, Aberdeenshire, was -7C (19F) while Cumbria was down to -2C (28F), with temperatures barely rising above zero in many other areas during the day.

Forecaster Paul Mott, of MeteoGroup, said: "There is much colder weather on the way. By Wednesday night the whole of the UK will be seeing frost and sub-zero temperatures during the night.

"By Thursday there will be wintry showers with the possibility of sleet and snow, even over areas of south and east England."
