And Finally...Virgin advert was 'prejudiced against redheads' finds watchdog
An advert for a new TV series was prejudiced against redheads, according to watchdogs.
The ad, for Dating in the Dark on Virgin's digital channel, said: "How do you spot a ginger in the dark?"
The Advertising Standards Authority - which received three complaints - said it implied those with ginger hair were unattractive and was likely to cause "serious offence".
Virgin argued that the statement was not offensive but was ordered to remove the advert.
