Shivering Britons are turning to traditional breakfast fry-ups to sustain them in the Arctic freeze-ups.
Sales of eggs, bacon, sausages and hot cereals have soared by a third.
And snowbound families enjoyed more brews - sales of tea rose 10 per cent and coffee by eight per cent. But total food sales fell in January's big freeze.
