And Finally... 'Man's best friend' gives away German criminal
A German man fleeing the police was found hiding in a cupboard in his flat - because his dog was stood outside it wagging its tail.
Police called round to the 52-year-old's home in Euskirchen, near Cologne, on Friday and were met by an acquaintance of the man carrying the suspect's Jack Russell.
"The man claimed not to know where the wanted man was," a police statement read. "When he put the dog down it proceeded with a wagging tail to a small cupboard - and stood expectantly in front of it."
Officers then opened the 3ft 3in by 2ft 6in cupboard to find the man they wanted to question 'hunched up inside'.
Police refused to name the man or his helpful companion and were also tight-lipped on what offence he was wanted for, saying only that it was 'not a capital crime'.
