Next time your bloke takes to bed with a sniffle, try to be more sympathetic, ladies - it turns out man flu really does exist.
Research shows that the male predilection for thrills and spills makes men far more exposed to infection, which has left them with weaker immune systems than women.
Dr Olivier Restif, who led the research at Cambridge University, said: "In many cases, males tend to be more prone to get infected or less able to clear infection."
