And Finally... Rescuers need rescuing from locked security van

By Tony White on Jul 15, 10 03:38 PM in News

Two police offcers in Gillingham, Kent, attempted to rescue a security guard who had got locked inside his own van - and somehow contrived to get themselves stuck too.

The bungling pair raced to the scene after hearing an alarm go off, alerting people to the fact that the door, windows and escape hatch of the vehicle had all been sealed off.

One officer managed to open the escape hatch and squeezed in to check on the guard. But then hatch then jammed and the would-be rescuer was left in the same position as his potential rescuee.

But fear not, there is the second copper - he'll help. So he decides to get into the driving compartment and save the day from there - but he gets stuck too.

The entire incident was caught on film by 21-year-old Craig Scott, who said: "It was one of the funniest things I've seen."
