The video, which shows the Rev Zoltan Lendvai in action wearing full clerical get-up, has achieved more than 500,000 hits so far.
Although his skills on four wheels aren't quite on a par with those of legendary boardman Tony Hawk, they certainly seem to have successfully attracted the attention of a number of youths. Apparently three teenage boys who had never gone to church before started attending services as a result of his displays.
Father Lendvai, who preaches in the town of Redics, near the Slovenian border, said he was inspired by St John Bosco, a 19th-century Italian priest who used games to educate and improve the lives of poor youngsters.
