And Finally... Welsh centenarian hailed as 'oldest Facebook user'

A 103-year-old woman from Tenby in Pembrokeshire has become the oldest member of Facebook, according to reports.

Lillian Lowe, who can remember the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, says the world's leading social networking site is great for 'finding out about things'.

"I recommend it for any grandparents to keep in touch with family," she added.

Lillian was introduced to the site by her 47-year-old grandson Steve, who lent her his iPad so she could manage her account, and she now has 34 friends. She regularly keeps in touch with her seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren on the site.

"She's very keen to know what young people are doing. She might raise an eyebrow at a few of the teenage antics she sees on Facebook, but she takes it all in her stride," Steve said.

A Facebook spokesman said: "We can't confirm if this lady is the oldest, but Lillian shows you can never be too old to join Facebook."
