MIDWINTER in the mid 1960s saw some dramatic snowfalls in North Shropshire.
This picture was taken in February 1965 in and around Tilstock, where the snow was causing huge disruption.
The picture shows an unnamed woman surveying her snowbound yard and has been lent to us by Tony Nevill, of Egerton Road, Whitchurch.

Former Whitchurch policeman David Francis, who now lives in Devon, has sent us this photo of pupils of Tilstock School in about 1947.
His sister Muriel Francis is seated on the front row, third right - perhaps some of the other faces will be familiar to readers.
