Crewe Works: What's the occasion?
THE wife of a former employee of Crewe Works is hoping workmates can recall the significance of this nostalgia picture.
The photo, showing C Shift Diesel Test, was taken in 1978. Judith Jones, whose husband Bill is pictured on the left of the back row, said they would like to know what specific occasion the picture was taken for.
"If anyone can remember why this picture was taken we would like them to let us know, said Mrs Jones, of Manor Way, Crewe.
"There must have been some occasion for everyone to be out with the sign."
