Nantwich Memories: Nantwich and Acton Grammar School

THANKS to Chronicle reader Ken Allenby, from Haslington, who has brought in a photograph from his time at Nantwich and Acton Grammar School in 1935.

He hopes the image will jog a few memories of his old school friends. The photograph, of Class 4A, contains a picture of Mr Allenby's first schoolboy crush, Ruth Williamson, of Austerson.

The picture also features Roger Moseley, from Audlem, Alan Wright, of Alpraham, Ray Allenby, Brian Jackson, Les West, John Needham, Victor Bibby, Ken Dodd, Ron Henshall, Wilf Kirkham, Sheila Lindley, Margaret Sadler and Jean Cotterill.
