Crewe Memories: Crewe Cricket Club photo appeal
A CREWE man who is compiling a book on the history of Crewe Cricket Club is appealing for photographs.
Ernie Jones, who is working on the book with friend Chris Jones, is hoping to use photos from as early as the club's origins in 1866 when it was called Crewe Alexandra, the name which was later adopted by the town's football team.
Mr Jones said: "The earliest one we have at the moment is from 1901. Any other photos from before or after then would be most welcome."
