Holywell Memories: Pupils urged to tell tales
Former pupils of a Holywell school which was dismantled and rebuilt in Greenfield Valley have been invited to help piece together a history of the building.
Anyone who attended Spring Gardens Infants' School before 1962 is welcome to attend a reunion at Greenfield Valley Heritage Park on Sunday, May 31.
The school was dismantled in the 1980s and rebuilt in the grounds of the museum.
Staff are keen to find out more about the history of the school and the pupils who passed through its doors.
Chris Wright, Greenfield Valley's operations manager, said: "We're trying to contact as many people as we possibly can who went to Spring Gardens Infant School before 1962 so that we can gather their memories and hear their stories about their time at the school.
"What was the school like? How were the teachers? What sticks in your mind about the time you spent there?
"We want to use these memories to tell the human story of the school."
The event will be free, but is by invitation only.

Hello
Apparently my dad is the one holding the placard in the Spring Gardens photo. I wonder if I could optain a better copy of the photo? My parents still live in Gorsedd but I am now living in Canada.
Thank you
Thank you for your query which has been passed on to the Newsdesk. They should be in touch with details on how to get a copy of the photo.
I attended Spring Gardens in 1948-49 and often looked in the old Chronicle printing works across the road, and have vague memories of the school, and would like to attend the re union.
