Flintshire Memories: Stages through the ages
THIS week we look at life in the spotlight.
In 1980, the talented Flint and District Operatic Society staged a fundraising show at Rhyl's Coliseum Theatre.
A photo of some of the stars recently came to light in the Chronicle archives.
The ladies, resplendent in top hats, are all ready for a stylish soft shoe shuffle.
The Miss Delyn beauty contest was a big crowd puller in the 1980s, culminating in a glitzy final, which was one of the highlight's of the borough's social calendar.
Our photo shows the finalists in 1981.
They were Pip Taylor, Cheryl Elizabeth Johnson, Delia Elizabeth Jones and Sian Jones.
Many youngsters enjoy the excitement and spontaneity of creative dance.
