Crewe Memories: The Jacksons came to Crewe but was Michael with them?
AMID all the publicity on the death of superstar Michael Jackson, does any Chronicle reader know whether he ever came to South Cheshire?
One man who believes he did is retired Rolls-Royce worker Les Powell, who lives in Crewe.
Les has a photograph going back to February 1979 which shows the Jackson brothers visiting the Roll-Royce factory in Pym's Lane.
Although the picture is of them when they were the Jackson Four before young Michael joined, Les said: "I think Michael was with them when they came to the factory. They liked what they saw and they each bought a Rolls-Royce."
If you know any more about this visit please contact the Crewe Chronicle
The picture shows the Jacksons at Rolls-Royce with Les Powell.
