Chester Memories: Happy Chester workers in a party mood
THE office 'do', the stalwart of any decent company's social calender, is the subject of an exhibition that opened this week.
A Bit Of A Do at the Chester History and Heritage Centre on Bridge Street, invites visitors to step back in time to the Christmas parties and social outings of decades past.
Pictures include group shots from Chester companies like De Havilland's, the Majestic cinema, Williams & Williams and Summer's Steelworks.
Curator Elaine Pierce-Jones is keen to add more photographs to the exhibition.
If you have any memories of an office party call in to the centre at St Michael's Church or telephone 01244 402110.
The exhibition runs from August 3 until October 10.
The first picture shows a trip to Blackpool for Heath Lane Laundry and the second an evening dinner for the RAF at The Gaumont.
