Flintshire Memories: Medieval soldiers trek across Moel Famau and Loggerheads Country Park
Visitors to Moel Famau and Loggerheads Country Park were transported back in time when a troupe of medieval foot soldiers hiked across the mountain.
The reconstruction portrayed the Welsh stronghold of the Cymric men and women, who lived in and around the commote of Ial in the 10th and 11th centuries.
The present day soldiers marched across the Clwydian range, from Moel Arthur to the Jubilee Tower on Moel Famau and back to their camp at Loggerheads.
Participants wore full battle order and marched for five hours.
Erin Robinson, Heather and Hillforts interpretation officer, said: "The men, women, children and horses of the group looked spectacular as they stormed the camp at Loggerheads.
"A victorious home-coming after their long journey home across the hills. In all authentic clothing and shoes, they completed an amazing mission.
"The walkers and visitors who came across them on the Offa's Dyke Path certainly witnessed something unique which I'm sure they will never forget."
The hike was part of a weekend-long event at the country park as part of the Festival of British Archaeology.
The picture shows medieval foot soldiers on their march across the Clwydian range.
