Flintshire Memories: It's back to school - Part One
THE start of the new school year will always remain one of the most vivid memories of your educational experience.
A mixture of anticipation, excitement and nerves will no doubt be repeated across the county this week.
From new Year 7s taking their place in the big school to veteran teachers returning for another interesting year ahead, school life remains stimulating.
As our pictures from the Chronicle archives show, new opportunities spring up, a wider circle of friends develops and everybody's knowledge expands.
The first picture shows Flint High School's golden jubilee in 1985. The second features Barry Jones with Tracy Evans, Laura Rigby, Bethan Stout and Caroline Powell, all young musicians at Bryn Deva School, Connah's Quay, in 1990.
