Flintshire Memories: Mystery football photos left in Mold Newsagents
THIS week's blast from the past is a bit of a mystery featuring young footballers from a bygone age.
The photographs were left at A Fecci newsagents on Wrexham Street, Mold, earlier this year and haven't been reclaimed.
Shop proprietor Antony Fecci said: "They're great photographs and obviously mean a lot to someone. However, despite putting a note in the window and asking numerous people, nobody's been back to collect them. We want them returned to their rightful owners. Please help."
Whether the photos were taken around that time remains debatable.
The snapshots show junior players in scenes closely reminiscent of Ken Loach's classic 1969 film Kes.
Nevertheless, the shirts and background scenes depict decades-old features.
Someone out there must know more about the pictures and most importantly who they belong to.
It would be interesting to also know when and where they were taken.
And who were the rising young stars of the football world?
