Flintshire Memories: Talacre beach's Point of Ayr lighthouse home to metal man sculpture
A MYSTERIOUS metal man sculpture has been taking a good view of Talacre beach this week.
The modern work of art, designed by local artist Angela Smith, is spending the week on top of the Point of Ayr lighthouse.
James McAllister, managing director of Talacre Beach Leisure Group and owner of the lighthouse, commissioned the reflective sculpture.
The metal man has been inspired by the marine life of the coast line, which has been influenced by mankind.
Although the sculpture is scheduled to remain on the lighthouse balcony for one week, the metal man is being assessed for planning and structural purposes, with a view to taking up a more permanent residence.
