I've got so many happy memories ( a lot of not so good memories too - but that's football). I think everyone involved in the club and/or CFU must work really hard to ensure something good comes from this tragic situation.

It is such a sad day to see Chester expelled from the Conference - Vaughan should hang his head in shame.
I have so many memories of supporting Chester at Sealand Road and at the Deva Stadium.
It's also sad for the players who stayed right until the end, even though they were not being paid. Thanks to all of them.

Best wishes to all CCFC fans, I'd like to think I speak for a lot of Barrow fans in wishing you all the best for the future and that we take no pleasure whatsoever in your situation. As previous sufferers at the hands of V*****n it could and nearly was us.
Regards.

Take heart from Aldershot FC - same thing happened to them and now they are back in the football league after the fans took over.
Oxford have nearly gone under twice - post Maxwell and and then pre Kassam. All the best to the Chester fans - I hope it works out for you - Come on you Yellows!

A sad day indeed. I saw my first game 50 years ago and have so many memories of Sealand Road. So so sad that 125 years of history can be wiped put by the actions of a few.
Good luck CFU

At least we can concentrate on a future without Vaughan now!!

Great shame for Chester, but most probably for the best. It seems to show that this new syndicate from Denmark was dreamt up by the Vaughans in the hope of getting their money back. If the ''take over'' was really positive they would have contacted the Conference either before or at the meeting to try and convince the clubs not to expel them.

A Chester fan in exile (New York City) I've watched from afar Stephen Vaughan drive this club into the ground. I'm also a multi-million dollar business owner. The level of idiocy Mr. Vaughan has displayed through his comments and actions over the past couple of years often left me simply amazed.

I'm sorry to see it happen, but am not really surprised.

Good luck to the Phoenix.

As an Exeter city fan i know only too well what it feels like as we very nearly went under a few years ago, only being saved by drawing man utd in the fa cup. I always enjoyed visiting both the Deva stadium and the old Sealand road ground .Take heart from the likes of Accrington stanley, Aldershot and Newport county and i am sure you wiill be back before long, Good luck.

what happens next -is the club bankrupt -who actually owns it-what is there to own-
a sad sad day in ccfc history -but I am sure with a completely new regime the club could move on with the feelings I hear -being exiled down south
As they say you cannot change history
what is done is done-so lets be confident and move on to save ccfc and I hope to see you at some ground in the future

Sad day 4 football but u will be back keep the faith pity it had to be today as oxford would of been there with a big crowd and much needed revenue the people at the club need to take a good hard look at themselves including the conference and f a chiefs brian lee should be sacked for letting this to happen
Good Luck

It just about sums things up .NOBODY REPRESENTING THE CLUB WAS AT THAT FATEFUL MEETING. WHAT A DISGRACE DON'T SHOW YOUR FACE AROUND HERE AGAIN Mr V

I am very sorry indeed to find out about the club’s troubles. I first saw Chester play in the Fourth Division when they came to Watford in 1958. Previously the teams had been separated as the original third division was regional North and South.

It hardly seems fair that your club should fold for apparently such a small sum of money owed to the tax man. I don’t know anything about the rules being breached. Anyway, condolences from this Watford fan who has seen your team play down south a few times over the years. I hope you may rise again like a Phoenix from the ashes and “do a Wimbledon”

Good luck from this Watford fan

I am a Wrexham fan who is deeply saddened by the expulsion of Chester City, no more great derby days, my husband is a Chester fan and over the years we have had plenty of football banter regarding this match, but alas the conference board decided Chester could be no more, what a sad day for all Chester fans. good luck for the future.
