Low Carbon: Cheshire Constabulary and other bodies to save £60m by reducing their carbon footprint
CHESHIRE Constabulary has joined 68 public bodies to help save £60 million through the Carbon Trust scheme.
The county's force is working to cut its carbon footprint and reduce energy bills by joining phase seven of the trust's Local Authorities Carbon Management programme.
This will see participants collectively cut their carbon footprints by 395,000 tonnes and energy costs by around £60 million per year, which will be reinvested into front line policing.
