Low Carbon: Cheshire communities support 10:10
On Monday, Chester Chronicle blogger (that's me!) was at the Tate Modern for the launch of 10:10, a new campaign to encourage the UK Government to take a leadership role in calling for strong and binding cuts in CO2 emissions at the Copenhagen talks in December. Although I was there in my role as co - founder of the Low Carbon Communities Network (LCCN) it felt good to be able to tell the press that Chehsire has over 40 LCCN members, ranging from businesses, community groups to our local councils (both Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester are members). Now back in Cheshire it's time for some last minute planning for the 3rd conference for low carbon communities in Birmingham on 19th September and to start promoting a series of autumn screenings of the Age of Stupid by Low Carbon Cheshire members. I'll be posting a full list of screening dates and details of how to get tickets here next week, but for now a well earned day off is in order.
